Application Process

To apply for your child to attend Old First Nursery School for the 2018/2019 school year, please choose from the following two options:

1. Early Admissions: We offer this option for families that are sure, early on in the process, that OFNS is the best fit for their family.  Early Admissions applications must be received by Monday, December 4, 2017. Admissions decisions will be sent out in mid-December.  If you are sure OFNS is your family’s first choice, we highly recommend applying for Early Admissions since this will give your family the best chance of securing a spot.

2. Regular Admissions: Applications are due on Monday, January 8, 2018. Notifications will take place in the beginning of February.

Few more spots are available for kids born in 2014 (as of january 28, 2018).

Selection Process

Children born in calendar years 2014 and 2015 are eligible to apply for our 2018-2019 class. We will have eight openings for 3's (children born in 2015). Depending on how many of our currently enrolled students continue for a second year at OFNS, we may have several spaces available for 4's (children born in 2014). Admissions decisions are determined by a modified lottery system. We seek to maximize diversity (including racial, economic and family-structure diversity) and to balance our class in terms of gender and age.

We give enrollment-priority to siblings of currently enrolled students or alumni. In order to receive enrollment-priority, alumni families must apply for Early Admissions.

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy: Old First Nursery School admits students of any race, color, and national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. Old First Nursery School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, or sexual orientation of students’ families in the administration of its educational and admissions policies.  We are committed to fully embracing diversity and to forming an inclusive, cooperative community of parents and children.
