Dear Parents,
We began on Monday using yellow finger paint on the table. We added red to create a new color. Someone said the yellow looked like mustard. It did. When we added red, someone remarked, “It’s like a pumpkin!” There were indeed many orange circles on the table.
On Thursday we used finger paint again to make handprints. We counted our fingers as we pressed them onto white paper. They’re hanging by the cubbies.
We also traced everyone’s hands. We sat at tables in the yard and used crayons to color them in. There are hands of many colors.
This week we read I Like Me!, What I Like About Me!, Would You Rather…, and Hands Can. We used our hands to reach for the stars, wave hello, and clap. We counted our fingers on both hands. Someone said, “Five and five make ten!”
Have a high five weekend,
Therese
