OFNS follows the New York City Public School calendar, with some exceptions.
Our school is in session from 9am-3pm, five days a week.
Children attend school a minimum of 9am – 11:45, four days per week.

September 11, 2026 - Second day school — half day
September 21, 2026 - Yom Kippur — no school
October 12, 2026 - Indigenous Peoples’ Day — no school
November 3, 2026 - Election Day —no school
November 11, 2026 - Veterans’ Day — no school
November 12, 2026 - Teacher Prep Day — no school
November 19, 2026 - Parent Teacher Conferences — no school
November 25, 2026 - Thanksgiving Feast — half day
November 26-28, 2026 - Thanksgiving — no school
December 23, 2026 - Winter Recess begins — half day
December 24, 2026-January 1, 2026 - Winter Recess — no school
January 18, 2027 - Rev. Dr. MLK Jr. Day — no school
February 15-19, 2027 - Midwinter Recess — no school
March 9, 2027 - Eid al-Fitr — no school
