Dear Parents,
The children worked all morning on Monday cutting out gingerbread people. We read a few versions of The Gingerbread Man and compared them. We hoped our gingerbread men wouldn’t hop out of the oven when we went to check on them. The children were convinced they could catch them if necessary, with many insisting they could run faster than their dads.
The children served cookies and milk to their families on Tuesday. Our gingerbread men went the way of every gingerbread cookie ever baked. Everyone got one cookie to represent each person in their family- and then we ate them!
Have a fantastical break!
Looking forward to the new year.
Thanks a million for the gifts and the thoughtful words! All greatly appreciated.
Therese
Gift Giving
Dear Parents,
This week we worked on making gifts for our families. The children talked excitedly about who would receive each gift as we made it.
We beaded, we glued, we painted, we mixed, we simmered, we poured, we wrapped, and we taped. It was a regular workshop.
We read books about Christmas and Hanukkah. Some children said they lit candles and had trees at home.
During our last yoga with Julieta, the children told us they did the warrior three pose.
Next week the children will serve their parents Cookies and Milk on Tuesday at 11:15am.
It was a great last full week of 2025!
Therese
