Dear Parents,
The children chose who they wanted to be in our story and we set about creating costumes. We cut, we painted, we stuck stickers, we brainstormed, we tried on, we pinned, we scrunched, and we colored. We worked on our costumes all week.
In the yard during lunch one day, we found a teeny tiny baby mouse. He was incredibly cute.
We read books about the sea, whales, snails, seahorses, and ocean rocks.
At Riis Beach we saw small, medium, and large sand crabs, seashells, ships, and a few mermaids washed upon the shore. The biggest sandcastle and the deepest hole ever dug, were made on this beach day.
Have a whimsical weekend,
Therese
